The Cummins ISLe 340-30 engine is a 6-cylinder in-line design with 8.9L displacement, and is commonly used by Dongfeng Trucks, as well as in heavy trucks, buses, vans and commercial vehicles. It delivers 250 kW (340 HP) at 2100 rpm, with a maximum torque of 1425 Nm at 1100-1400 rpm. The fuel consumption of the device at its rated power output is 210 g/kWh, and it is capable of operating at altitudes of up to 4,500 metres. The engine is fitted with a Bosch common rail fuel system and has a 16.6:1 compression ratio. It is certified to Euro III standards. It features a 24V electrical starting system, operates in temperatures as low as -12℃, and employs water cooling with an 11.1L fluid capacity. The engine weighs 706 kg and has dimensions of 1147mm x 767mm x 1104mm.
