The Cummins L270-30 engine is designed for use in a variety of vehicles, including Dongfeng Trucks, heavy trucks, buses, vans and commercial vehicles. It features a 6-cylinder in-line configuration with a displacement of 8.9 L. The engine delivers a rated power of 199 kW (270 HP) at 2200 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 1150 N·m at 1400 rpm. The engine is turbocharged and air-air intercooled, and is equipped with a Bosch P7100 fuel pump and a compression ratio of 16.6:1. The key specifications are as follows: a net weight of 650 kg, dimensions of 1149 x 799 x 1022 mm, and a cooling fluid capacity of 11.1 L. The engine is Euro II certified, has an idle speed range of 700 ± 100 rpm, and a max continuous running altitude of 3000 m.
