The Cummins ISX 525 is a 6-cylinder inline engine with a 15L displacement, which is commonly used in Dongfeng trucks, heavy trucks, buses, vans, commercial vehicles, and vehicle power packs. The vehicle has a net weight of 1344 kg (including flywheel and alternator) and delivers a rated power of 386 kW (525 HP) at 2000 rpm. The engine provides a maximum torque of 2237 Nm at 1200 rpm, with a clutch engagement torque of 1356 Nm. The vehicle has been certified to Euro III standards and features a turbocharged, charge air-cooled system with a Cummins XPI fuel system. The engine incorporates a DPF/aftertreatment system for emission control, a 24V electrical starting system, and is capable of starting at temperatures as low as -15°C without auxiliary systems.
